Governance:

SLOPB Bangladesh governance structure has three tiers located in the Bangladesh. In Bangladesh the General Board ( GeB) makes the Governing Board (GB) and SLOPB Advisory Board (SAB) supports the GB to manage the organization through the Senior Management Team (SMT).

SLOPB ADVISORY BOARD (SAB):

As SLOPB Bangladesh has already been expanded its programmes and have the plan to further development of both programme dimensions and geographical coverage , it deemed to have an extended support mechanism within the organizational structure to make the GB more effective in terms of getting advisory support or technical support in a crucial issues towards attaining the greater interest of the organization or achieving the organizational goal, and this extended structure is called as the SLOPB Advisory Board. This Advisory Board is comprising of maximum 5 members and Mr. Motalib Weijters , as founder of the organization, is the Chief Advisor. The members of the present SLOPB Advisory Board are as follows:

a. Mr. Motalib Weijters – Founder and Chief Adviser
b. Dr. M.S Howlader - Adviser

General and Governing Board in Bangladesh:

The SLOPB Bangladesh has a General Board consist of 21 members including the representatives from the beneficiaries, members of staff, local stockholders and member of civil society from both local and national level. The SLOPB Governing Board (GB) in Bangladesh provides necessary supervision and guidance to the SMT of SLOPB in implementing the mandated activities of ongoing projects, formulating new projects and handling other matters of SLOPB’s internal management and communication with various stakeholders following the policy parameters of the GB.

The members of the GeB are prominent and well reputed individuals of different sectors like: Government employees, NGO employees, Businessmen, Academician etc

Management of the organization

SLOPB has a Senior Management Team (SMT) consisting of all senior-level officials including the Executive Director (ED), Program Director (PD) and Director-Finance (DF) of the SLOPB. There are also management teams at the project level who are accountable to the Executive Director (ED) and Program Director (PD) in the respective areas and extend management support and feedback to the ED/PD to run the day-to-day operations of the projects. The SMT meets at least once a month and oversees the day-to-day management of the organization towards reviewing progress and making decisions.
